WHY COLORED CONTACTS?

Colored contacts allow you to change your eye color in a minute. Our colors are unique and you won’t be able to find such natural looking colors elsewhere. Shall we take a bet?
You can either wear them as a cosmetic accessory or as a corrective product that fits your Rx.

DO YOU HAVE ANY LOCAL STORES WHERE I CAN PURCHASE IRIS BEAUTY LENSES?

No, we are operating an exclusive E-commerce shop based in NYC. All orders are shipped from here in the next business day after you place your order.

ARE IRIS BEAUTY LENSES ONLY COSMETIC, OR CAN THEY BE ORDERED WITH A PRESCRIPTION?

* IRIS BEAUTY lenses are produced for those who want to change the color of their iris alone, as well as for those who want to change their eye color and have acuity problems. For now, we are covering myopia (near-sightedness) with Rx ranging from -0,25 to -6. We are planning on launching hyperopia (far-sightedness) and astigmatism products soon. You should subscribe to our newsletter to keep in touch.
* Plano lenses are lenses with power 0.00. These are for customers with 20/20 acuity vision, who only want to change the color of their iris.
* Power lenses are for customers with myopia (negative powers).

WHAT ARE THE METRICS OF YOUR LENSES?

Are all your products the same? Nope. Most of our products got similar dimensions (8,6mm base curve and 14,2mm diameter), even tho that's not the case for all of them. This allows us to fulfill different prescription type and always offer the solution the most fitted to your eye. We do strongly recommend to visit an ophthalmologist prior to order any of our contact lenses.

HOW MANY COLORS ARE AVAILABLE?

We currently have eleven different colors in stock. While we are always working on new products, we will try to keep these colors forever.
* Essentials Collection: Four shades (semesterly lenses).
* Passion Collection: Three shades (semesterly lenses).
* Intense Collection: Four shades (semesterly lenses).

ARE IRIS BEAUTY LENSES ONE SIZE FITS ALL?

Contact lenses are not one size fits all.
IRIS Beauty lenses are available in different diameter and base curve. Please refer to the details section of each product to consult these metrics. 
It is important to check with your eye care specialist whether these parameters are suitable for your eyes prior to purchasing the lenses (these parameters cannot be changed).

WHAT IF I HAVE DIFFERENT POWERS FOR EACH OF MY EYES IN MY PRESCRIPTION?

If you have different corrective parameters for each eye in your prescription, you will need to order two pairs of lenses (2 boxes). One box should contain your left eye prescription and the other should contain your right eye prescription. Select your first box, then continue shopping to add the second box. Unfortunately, we cannot open the original packaging and mix your prescriptions.

I HAVE ASTIGMATISM, CAN I ORDER IRIS BEAUTY LENSES?

Unfortunately we don’t cover astigmatism for now. We recommend that you subscribe to our waiting list to receive notifications about the launch of this type of product. We will offer a special discount to our early adopters.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN EACH BOX OF IRIS BEAUTY LENSES?

Each box of semesterly disposable lenses contains two lenses of the same power and color, stored in separate blisters with sterile saline solution. Every box also includes a lens case to store and protect your products once opened. We provide a user guide with the recommended usage information. I’VE NEVER WORN CONTACT LENSES BEFORE; CAN I USE IRIS BEAUTY LENSES?

Yes, certainly! Our lenses are specifically designed to be easy to wear for first timers. Any contact lens may cause some initial discomfort but you should get used to wearing our products after your first day of use. We recommend to over water your products during the day to avoid dryness. Please read our application & care page carefully if you are not sure how to use contact lenses. 

DO I NEED TO PURCHASE AN IRIS BEAUTY LENS CASE?

No, all of our products come in a box containing a lens case adapted for the proper care of your contacts.

CAN I PURCHASE IRIS BEAUTY CONTACT LENS SOLUTION?

No, not yet. This product will be launched soon and we recommend that you subscribe to our newsletter to keep in touch about new product releases. In the meantime, you can use any kind of all-in-one solution for soft contact lenses. Please choose well as contact lens solutions can also determine the comfort of the lens.

HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF MY IRIS BEAUTY LENSES?

Contact lenses are very simple to take care of. Please visit our section dedicated to lens care for more information. 

DOES THE FINAL OUTCOME OF THE PRODUCT DEPEND ON MY ORIGINAL EYE COLOR?

Yes, the final outcome of a colored contact relies on your natural iris color. Nevertheless, our unique patterned technology significantly reduces the gap between the original iris color and the final outcome of the product. In fact, our lenses block more than 90% of your original eye color. The only metric we can’t alter is the light of your original color. Please use our « try on » feature (IRIS BEAUTY) to gain a more accurate understanding of what our lens colors look like on different eye colors.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE COLLECTIONS?

Even though all of our products have got the exact same metrics, the design patterns differ. All our colors have been designed to give a natural looking aspect to your eyes.

Essentials lenses have been inspired by the beauty of the natural eye. They all have a slightly underlined ring to gently compliment the chosen iris color, resulting in a brighter, more memorable you.

The Passion collection is composed of complex tones that accentuate the radiance in your eyes. The outside ring is more noticeable than in our Essential lenses. This helps to brighten up your eyes, creating a look as unique as you are.

Intense lenses are the perfect choice if you really want to stand out. They have a sharp contrast ring that outlines your iris to create more depth and definition for a bolder look.

ARE IRIS BEAUTY LENSES FDA APPROVED?

Yes, IRIS BEAUTY lenses have obtained certification from US authorities. They also have Canadian & CE certification.

HOW LONG CAN I WEAR IRIS BEAUTY LENSES?

All of our collections are semesterly disposable lenses. You can wear them for six months, daily, from the time the blister package is opened. It is recommended that they are disposed of after the six-month period.
All unopened IRIS Beauty lenses sealed in the blister with saline solution have a shelf life of ten years from the time of their original production date. The exact expiration date is printed on the back of the packaging.
If the customer only wears the semesterly lenses on a few occasions during the six-month period, the lenses may last longer. However, it is still recommended that they are disposed of after the six-month period to reduce the risk of contracting ulcerous keratitis.

CAN I WEAR IRIS BEAUTY LENSES EVERYDAY?

Yes, of course. Our products have been manufactured by a state of the art facility in the USA. They have reached the highest standards of comfort and safety. Our lens manufacturer has gained the trust of US ophthalmologists over the years and developed the color lens product to mimic the regular version (non coloured lenses) that have been used by ophthalmologists for their private labels. There are no secrets between us!

CAN I SLEEP WITH IRIS BEAUTY LENSES?

No, it is not advisable to sleep with any kind of contact lenses. Your eyes need to rest during sleep. Please remove your IRIS BEAUTY lenses before sleeping and put them in lens solution. This step is very important to preserve the product and, more importantly, to protect your eyes.

WHERE SHOULD I PUT MY IRIS BEAUTY LENSES ONCE OPENED?

Each IRIS BEAUTY lens pack comes with a lens case. You should pour some contact lens solution into this case and place your lenses in this case whenever you are not using them. The lens solution will not only protect the IRIS BEAUTY lenses but also clean them from any dust that they may have picked up while in use. This will ensure the conservation of the product and the safety your eyes.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I WASH MY IRIS BEAUTY LENSES?

You should wash your IRIS BEAUTY lenses at least once a day by placing them in their case filled with contact lens solution. We also recommend washing Iris Beauty lenses in the solution each time you feel any discomfort while using them.

WHAT KIND OF CONTACT LENS SOLUTION CAN I USE?

You can use any contact lens solution sold in stores.

CAN I SWIM WITH MY IRIS BEAUTY LENSES?

No, we do not recommend wearing your IRIS BEAUTY lenses while swimming. If for any reason this situation occurs, we recommend immediately washing them in contact lens solution to avoid injury.

WHY DO YOU ASK ME TO PROVIDE INFORMATION ABOUT MY PRESCRIBER DURING CHECKOUT?

The Fairness to Contact Lens Consumer Act allows us to directly communicate with your prescriber regarding the information you have provided. Please understand that by selecting a doctor during the checkout stage, you certify that the information provided is accurate.

DO I NEED A VALID PRESCRIPTION TO BUY IRIS BEAUTY LENSES?

Yes, according to the FCLCA (Fairness to Contact Lens Consumer Act), colored contact lenses are a medical device requiring a valid ophthalmologist prescription in the USA. This applies to all contact lenses sold in the US: corrective or cosmetic.

DO YOU COMPLY WITH THE FCLCA?

Yes, IRIS BEAUTY is a NYC based company fully compliant with US regulations. A special process for US customers has been implemented according to the Fairness to Contact Lens Consumer Act. US-based customers must provide a valid prescription to purchase our products. This applies to colored cosmetic lenses as well (plano). The prescription verification process will appear during the checkout stage of your purchase.

DO I HAVE TO ATTACH MY PRESCRIPTION SOMEWHERE?

No, we don’t require you to provide your ophthalmologist’s prescription during your shopping experience. Instead, we ask US based customers to select the name of their prescriber in our database and we will directly check with him about the accuracy of the information provided.

WHY HAS MY ORDER BEEN CANCELLED TWO DAYS AFTER BEING PLACED?

It may occur that your order is canceled after two working days. This means that the doctor that you have selected during the checkout process has determined that you should visit him before trying on new contact lenses. It’s a shame but that is the US regulation. In such a case, we will immediately refund you via your payment method. At this stage we suggest that you get in touch with your prescriber and advise him to download our fitting guide so that he/she can understand that our products meet safety requirements. We will also be happy to send fitting samples on a simple request at doctors@irisbeauty.com.

* IRIS BEAUTY accepts payments either by credit card or from a PayPal account.

I CANNOT DECIDE WHICH COLOR(S) TO PURCHASE, CAN I RECEIVE A FREE SAMPLE(S) TO TEST THE LENSES PRIOR TO PURCHASING?

* Unfortunately, we do not provide free samples.
* The best advice we can offer you is to try our ‘try on’ feature which displays each lens on different eye colors (https://www.irisbeauty.com/learn/color-guide.html). This will give you a close idea of what the selected color will look like on your eyes.

WHAT IS THE IRIS BEAUTY ‘TRY ON’ FEATURE?

Our printing technology allows the lenses to block the color of your natural iris. However, we have developed a feature that allows you to display your favorite lenses on different eye colors which may differ in lightness and brightness. We believe this will give you a close idea to what IRIS Beauty lenses will look like on your actual eyes.

Shipping, returns & exchange

WHAT IS YOUR EXCHANGE/RETURN POLICY?

Exchanges are accepted within 15 days after reception of your parcel. To exchange your product, simply ship it back in its original box, clearly untouched, unworn and unopened. Please note that all damaged boxes and opened lens blister packs do not qualify for returns. If your return meets our terms we will refund or exchange your order as per your request. We do not charge restocking fees. 

DOES THIS APPLY TO DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS AS WELL?

In case, some of the products received are defective, please email us as soon as possible at contact@irisbeauty.com to submit a claim. Defective products are entitled for an exchange or a full refund up to three months after receiving your parcel. You will be asked to provide photos of the products in order to allow us to open investigations. You may be asked to return the products via a prepaid label in order for us to review the flaws. In such case, we will issue a full refund within one week after having received the defective products. 

WILL I BE REFUNDED THE FULL VALUE OF MY ORDER?

Yes! As soon as we receive your package and make sure the exchange/return policy has been followed, we will refund you 100% off your items value with no delay. Please note that shipping charges are never eligible for refund.

HAVE YOU RECEIVED MY EXCHANGE?

As soon as we receive your package and make sure that the products are satisfactory, we will contact you, confirm the shipping address and item you want as a replacement and we will place a new order for you right away.

WHY IS MY ORDER STILL PROCESSING?

Please contact our Customer Care team with the order number at contact@irisbeauty.com and we will resolve the issue for you as quickly as we can. 

WHEN WILL MY ORDER SHIP?

All standard orders have a processing time of 2-5 days. Afterwards, we will ship it and it should reach you within 2-4 days. Please consider that the processing time will add to the shipping time - expect your order to arrive within 5 to 8 working days.

DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?

Yes! We ship to every country in the world! 

HOW DO I TRACK MY INTERNATIONAL ORDER?

We provide international delivery worldwide with an online tracking number and a signature confirmation to make sure you receive your package. Orders can be tracked through FedEx: www.fedex.com or USPS: www.usps.com. 

DO YOU DELIVER TO PO BOX ADDRESSES?

Yes. However, we cannot ship via a traceable method to any post office boxes.
Delivery time cannot be guaranteed nor can the package be tracked. We also cannot be held responsible if you do not receive your package. We encourage all deliveries to be made to a physical address so packages can be tracked.

WHY HAS MY CARD BEEN DECLINED?

A common reason for orders being declined is due to the billing address details being incorrectly entered.
When you proceed to checkout, please make sure that all your personal information matches the exact information on your credit card. If some information doesn’t match, the transaction will not go through.
